Where do I begin…. First I want to thank Steve(owner) and his amazing crew on Summer Winds vessel. Steve took time out of his schedule to meet us personally a week prior to departure to plan our trip in detail with me, and this trip was was nothing but SPECTACULAR! This will be without a doubt the most amazing experience and memory for me and my family, and we cannot thank you enough. Now, to our trip. We had worked with Steve on a custom experience as noted above, and it was Five Star all the way. Before I get into details, please understand that not everything I mention is included as we upgraded our trip. We were pleasantly greeted at the parking lot upon arrival by Freddy(1st mate). When we arrived to the boat we were welcomed by the entire staff which began boarding the many bags we brought along. After we got comfortable the captain notified everyone that we were about to depart and what to expect out of the day. On our travel from Casa de Campo to Catalina we sat on the bow and enjoyed a fresh platter of local fruits and coffee as we took in the amazing views. Once we arrived to Catalina island we all hopped in the water for an hour or two of snorkeling. OMG!…. I have done scuba trips all around the island and I have never quite felt like I was emerged into an aquarium tank…. Well, until now. The variety and amount of tropical fish was mind blowing. By far the best I have ever seen. After that we boarded back onto Summer Winds to enjoy a well deserved Brunch by @thefoodcrafterrd (Chef Ruben Ramos). He had such an incredible spread for us to enjoy, from salmon lox to freshly made Belgium waffles to silver dollar pancakes, eggs etc. Shortly after brunch we began to travel to the other side of the island to where the smaller vessel(dingy) took us ashore to enjoy the sun and beach for a cpl hours before our trip back to mainland. As the sun was setting behind us, we slowly made our way back to the marina where we enjoyed a beautifully prepared dinner on the outside dining deck. After dinner the staff was very relaxed about us slowly making our way off, because really, who does want to leave a boat like this!? The staff loaded our bags on the cart and escorted us back to the parking lot. It was the most wonderful, seamless experience and we absolutely loved every minute of it. We chartered the Summer Wind in January 22 with 2 adults and 2 kids (1 & 6 years old). The yacht owner steve was very courteous and engaged from the first contact until we left and beyond. During our charter, we stayed on the water for 2 nights and 2 more nights in Casa de Campo, where there are also lots of fun things to do, like going to the beach, restaurants and even lots of shopping opportunities. We also had a fantastic chef (Freddy) on board, who spoiled us with very tasting food, so you can also have a great dinner experience at the dock. I can highly recommend a charter with Steve and his fantastic crew as they offered us a great time at places in the Caribbean Sea, where we might not have gone to without them. There are water sport toys on board (snorkelling, stand up paddling) and Steve prepared a tour from Casa de Campo to Las Palmillas, Isla Catalina, Isla Catalanita for us in advanced, based on our needs and expectations and it goes without saying that is was more than amazing.

Traveling with Steve and his team was wonderful. We used his boat twice, one for palmilla and one for Catalina, and it was fascinating. Steve is one of the best hosts I've ever seen, he makes sure that every detail of your trip goes according to your taste. If what you want is a day at the beach with your whole family I recommend this charter, since it is big enough for everyone to be comfortable. My group and I are very grateful to Steve and his crew. We hope to do another excursion soon.
